The Institute
The College is set up in mid 2002 by Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE) with the permanent approval from the Bar Council of India and affiliation from the Vidyasagar University, Midnapore. Haldia Law College (HLC) is gradually progressing to become a centre of excellence in Legal studies. The College has achieved to get and run the LL.M. course from the Academic Session 2010 onwards.
Administration
The College has got a Governing Body whose Chairman is Justice Shyamal Kumar Sen, Former Chairman, Human Rights Commission, W.B., Former Governor of The State of West Bengal, Former Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court & Kolkata High Court and the Secretary is Mr. Lakshman Seth, Former Member of Parliament & Former Chairman, Haldia Development Authority.
Faculty & Administration
The faculty and administration of the College consists of energetic and young researchers as well as experienced members. The members of the faculty are engaged in serious academic exercises for the purpose of promoting the aspiration of Haldia Law College to look at law from social as well as business perspectives.
