Which all programs are open for international candidates seeking admission to NMIMS 2012 batch and what is the eligibility criterion?
International candidates can apply for the following program of NMIMS:
- MBA (FT) Core
Admissions Criteria for International candidates who wish to apply for MBA Full Time (Batch 2012):
Eligibility criteria –
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from accredited University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in first attempt. Two years of post qualification work experience will be preferred.
Valid GMAT score of 600 and above (GMAT score for last 3 years upto 20th October, 2011 will be considered).
Applicants are required to submit certificate of equivalence of the degree from competent statutory authority of the country. One who holds a foreign passport and does not have Indian passport should have cleared TOFEL or IELTS.
Admission is subject to getting clearance for the candidate’s Government (if required) and a student visa from the Indian Embassy in your country.
Candidates appearing for their graduation examination can also apply but their admission to the NMIMS program will be subject to obtaining the required minimum marks to be eligible for the program and also producing all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.
Candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance learning, correspondence courses, externally, open University are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.

1. Does NMIMS require a test to prove proficiency in English?
A TOEFL/IELTS score is required for non-Indian students who did not have ENGLISH as the primary language of instruction during their undergraduate studies.

1. How do I register for MBA FULL TIME (BATCH-2012)?
You can register for MBA FULL TIME (BATCH-2012) through an online registration application available on website www.pearsonvueindia.com/nmat from 9:00 am (IST) onwards starting August 10, 2011. Online registrations will close at 11:59 pm Indian Standard Time (IST) on December 20, 2011. NMIMS shall not accept registrations from candidates in any other mode or form.
2. Can I edit my registration application?
Candidates can edit certain fields like present address and academic background in their application form till they receive confirmation from NMIMS of receipt of fee paid for registration. Candidates are advised to check the information entered in the online registration application form very carefully while registering and again before making payment as they will not be allowed to make any changes at a later stage.
3. I could not register online for the MBA FULL TIME (BATCH-2012), since the following error message appeared - "Java Script Error". What should I do?
Please use Internet Explorer Ver. 6.0 and above, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
4. I could not register online for the MBA FULL TIME (BATCH-2012), as I am not able to proceed after "I agree". What should I do?
This application uses JavaScript. Please make sure that JavaScript is enabled in your browser. To enable JavaScript go to: Tools>>Internet Options>>Security>>Custom Level. Scroll down until you see the section labeled `Scripting` Under `Active Scripting`, select `Enable` and click OK. Click refresh and restart the registration process.
5. I have received the NMAT ID & Password, what can I use it for?
Thanks for registering for MBA FULL TIME (BATCH-2012). You can use the NMAT ID and password to make changes in the application form, check My Mail for the e-mails sent to you or send e-mail for help/queries related to the MBA FULL TIME (BATCH-2012) online application form.
6. Can I submit more than one application?
Candidates are not allowed to make duplicate/ multiple registrations. Candidature of a candidate is liable to get rejected and fee forfeited, if the candidate registers multiple times.
7. My current address is valid only till September. Is it possible for me to update and make a change in the address in early November?
Candidates can edit certain fields like Present address and academic background in their application form till they receive payment authentication from NMIMS for the Fees they have paid for online registration. Candidates are advised to check the information entered in the online registration application form very carefully while registering and again before making payment as they will not be allowed to make any changes at a later stage.
8. What is the fee for MBA FULL TIME (BATCH-2012)?
Candidates applying for MBA FULL TIME (BATCH-2012) can register of one of the programs individually or for both the programs. Following table provides the applicable fee for MBA FULL TIME (BATCH-2012):

9. Which cards are accepted for payment?
Credit Cards (Master and VISA) are accepted for registration.
Card Verification Value (CVV) is 3 or 4 digit unique number at the back of your credit card. In some cards, the CVV number may also be written on the front of the card, above the card number.
11. I have registered online and successfully completed the payment. What is the next step?
Congratulations on completing the registration process for the MBA FULL TIME (BATCH-2012). You must have received an e-mail with your NMAT ID and password, informing that you have successfully completed your transaction. In case you have not received the same, please contact our helpdesk at +91-44-42272727 (Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm IST) (except public holidays).
12. What can lead to cancellation of my registration?
Candidates need to ensure that the information submitted by them is correct. In case any information is found to be incorrect at a later date, NMIMS shall have the right to cancel the admission process. In the event of the cancellation of the admission process due to furnishing of incorrect information, the application fee paid by the candidate will not be refunded.
NMIMS registration will also stand cancelled if there are duplicate registrations; the application has incomplete information received by NMIMS after the due date. Registration forms, for which the registration fee is not received in time, will be rejected outright.
FAQs – Application Process
1. Where do I get a copy of the application form?
The MBA Full Time (Batch-2012) entire application process is available online and therefore no printed copy of the form is available/accepted. You will therefore need access to an internet enabled computer to apply to the program.
2. Does the entire application need to be completed within one session?
No. You can complete the online application in multiple sessions and have the option to save parts of the application as you proceed.
3. Do I also need to submit a printed copy of the application form once I have submitted it online?
No. We will not require you to send a printed copy of the application form.
4. How do I send in my SOP, academic transcripts/mark sheets, other documents and photographs required as part of the application?
You have to send the hard copy of all these documents to NMIMS.
5. How will the NMIMS verify my transcripts/documents?
At the time of joining the program, you will need to bring all the original documents with which we will verify the photocopies/scans with these originals.
6. Do you acknowledge receipt of application by mail?
We convey the status of your application online. Do remember to check your application status by login in the online application using your NMAT ID and password.

1. How the Interviews will be for the candidates based in India at the time of Group Discussion & Personal Interview?
If shortlisted, candidate has to appear for Group Discussion & Personal Interview on the scheduled date and time mentioned in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview call letter which will be uploaded on the NMIMS website www.nmims.edu.
2. Will a separate call letter mailed to my email id?
No separate call letter will be mailed.
The final decision of the University will be based on the GMAT score, Group Discussion and Personal Interview scores, work experience scores if any along with academic scores.
Group Discussion & Personal Interview for the FT MBA Programs of Mumbai Campus will be conducted In Mumbai only.
3. How the Interview will be held For the candidate not based in India at the time of Group Discussion & Personal Interview?
If shortlisted, the candidates based outside India will be telephonically interviewed at a prefixed date and time. Prior to the telephonic interview the candidate needs to send the hard copies of the following documents :
Statement of Purpose (SOP) : Reason for applying to the Program , study interests, future career plans, etc.
Letters of Recommendation: Two testimonials are required. Recommendation letters should be from a faculty member / Professional Associate / Referee at the last University you attended as a full time student or from work associates who can comment on your academic potential for post graduate work.
The above mentioned documents must reach at the below mentioned address on or before 31st December, 2011.
